Emergent Awareness Press (EA Press) has two Publishing plans for new or existing authors:  Empowered and Traditional. The details of each plan are described below.

Note - We cater to authors that have no interest in self-publishing, who want to work with a publisher aligned with their purpose as a writer (not just anyone willing to publish their book), and desire a reasonable return for their written products. They also have other qualities in common:  they are "hands-on" types, passionate about their message, technically competent or willing to learn, conversant in the publishing industry or willing to learn, would gladly share the wealth of their knowledge, and are willing to self-promote.

While simultaneously and organically benefiting from the synergistic marketing efforts for EA Press, authors that self-qualify for the Empowered plan do their own marketing as well and we provide an unmatched incentive for you to do just that:  you may retain all (100%) of your profits without paying us the royalty when you sell the book through channels you develop - a web site you build or a class you teach are examples.

How this would work is as follows:  after (1) completing our book publishing process, and (2) establishing your preferred marketing approach, you would (3) buy the book through us at a near-cost price, then sell as you wish.  In this scenario, you would receive orders online or however and fulfill them yourself. If you teach a class and have books on hand for sale, again you would keep 100% of your revenues.  Your expense, once again, is the books purchased from us at a near-cost price.

For those of you who aren't as interested in the additional work described above and perhaps see yourselves as strictly writers, we have more of a Traditional plan for you below. But, and this applies to either plan, we don't guarantee the kind of market attention you may desire.  The extent of our promotional efforts is described below.

It is up to each author to actively market their products - thus we encourage you to self-qualify for the Empowered plan so that you may readily connect your own efforts with your own promotional and financial goals.

If your manuscript meets our selection criteria and is aligned with our goal as a publisher, we'll work with you however you see yourself.  If neither of the plans below suits you, feel absolutely free to propose another. Remember the first step is the manuscript review and that's free.

Note - The Management Fee for the Empowered plan is 10% - 15%.
